Privacy policy
Last updated 26 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information we process when you use our website, why, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by HANDOFFice Ltd ("HANDOFFice", "we", "us", "our"), based in Manchester, United Kingdom. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
This policy covers this website (handoffice.co.uk) only.
2. Information we collect
We collect as little as we can.
Server logs
When you visit, our web server records the date and time of each request, the page or file requested, the response code and the size of the response. We do not record your IP address or details of your browser or device in these logs.
Hosting and network providers
Our hosting and network providers process technical information, such as your IP address, in order to deliver this website to you and to protect it from abuse and attacks. This includes Cloudflare, Inc., which provides our content delivery, network and security services and handles every request to this website. They act on our behalf and do not use this information for advertising.
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how our website is used and how quickly it loads. It collects aggregated, anonymous information about visits and performance, such as the pages viewed, the referring website, the country a visit comes from, the type of browser and device, and page load timings.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage, does not use fingerprinting, and does not track individuals across websites. We only see aggregated reports and cannot identify individual visitors from them.
Cloudflare acts as our processor for this service and for the network services above. Cloudflare may process information outside the United Kingdom; where it does, it uses appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law. You can read more in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Forms
Information you type into forms on this website, such as a job application, is processed in your browser. It is not sent to us and is not stored.
Customer portal
When you enter an access code in the customer portal, your browser checks whether a matching page exists. That check appears in our server logs in the same way as any other page request.
What we don't collect
Apart from Cloudflare Web Analytics, we don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. We don't build profiles of visitors or sell personal information.
3. Cookies
This website does not use cookies, and neither does our analytics service. We don't use local storage or similar technologies to recognise you or follow you across visits or other websites, so there is no cookie banner to accept.
4. How we use your information
We use the limited information described above to:
- deliver this website and its pages to you;
- keep the website secure and protect it from misuse;
- find and fix errors and broken links;
- understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how quickly they load, so we can improve the website.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website. We don't use your information for marketing and we don't make automated decisions about you.
5. How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, and are then deleted automatically. We keep them for no longer than we need them for those purposes.
Analytics reports are aggregated and anonymous, and are kept by Cloudflare in line with its own retention periods.
6. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use your information;
- object to our use of your information;
- ask for your information in a portable format.
Because our logs don't include IP addresses or other identifiers, we may not be able to link a log entry to you. We will always tell you if that is the case.
We will respond to a request within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
7. Contact us
For any question about this policy or your personal information, email [email protected].
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
